The conventional method of building a guitar body has been surpassed by the Square One concept of replacing the wooden body with a central aluminium frame.
The frame components are machined out of solid billets of air-craft grade aluminium which benefits from outstanding structural and sonic properties. The aluminium is anodized and can be dyed a variety of colours. Sound travels faster in aluminium than hardwoods so the attack of a note is faster in a Square One bass.
Coupling the aluminium with a traditional maple neck delivers rich low bass response, tighter mid-range punch, amazing clarity, sizzling presence and unique tone. Weighing in at 3.7kg, this Square One prototype is loaded with custom East active circuitry and a custom Armstrong pickup.
